My husband loves ridgebacks and has wanted one for nearly 20 years, when the time was right for us to welcome one into our home he knew he had to find the right breeder, he researched for several months until he came across zejak ridgebacks. We then contacted Jackie who invited us down for a visit, upon arrival we were welcomed by 5 or 6 of the calmest well behaved ridgebacks, we had our 2 young children with us and felt totally at ease with the dogs. We stayed in contact with Jackie and spoke often over the course of a year, being first time owners we wanted to get it right and Jackie made sure we knew what we were taking on and didn’t rush into anything, she insisted on books for us to read, told us to get a good trainer and set up a great support network which has been a great help. We now have our beautiful boy Kobe, he’s still quite young (5 months) but people are always commenting on how calm and what a great nature he has, and of course how gorgeous he is. Jackie really does care about all of her dogs and putting them with the right owners, all of the hard work and effort she puts in to prepare the pups for their new homes really does show through in their temperament and nature. We are already planning and excited about getting Kobe a little sister in a couple of years and we wouldn’t dream of getting a pup from anyone else.
