Below are some photos of our brood bitches.

As mentioned in another post, some live with us and some live in family care homes.

We, as breeders keep a number of our breeding girls out in family homes, we find this works well for hounds (we have been doing this for over thirty years, so we know it works for all parties) obviously its our tried and tested method of keeping enough of our precious bloodlines to produce the best Ridgebacks.

Ridgebacks, as loyal as they are to their owners, are actually quite happy as long as fed and loved, so we have never had any problem with shared ownership.

Our fantastic family and friends who look after our girls in their own homes, give our girls a proper family life where they usually are the only dog, so centre of attention, and truly want for nothing. We gift these girls to their forever homes, so everyone benefits.

These girls return to us to be health tested and assessed by us to have the right temperament to pass on to puppies, they can have up to three litters in a lifetime, but we only breed from girls that do a good job, and produce lovely pups. If not, they of course are retired and spayed. They get to stay with their care families so nothing changes for them.

All veterinary costs are covered by us through their breeding career and of course we fully support our special families, as we do all Zejakers.
