PUPPIES

We have been breeding outstanding Rhodesian Ridgebacks for 35 years. We believe that temperament is the most important factor when breeding, or choosing, a new puppy.

Our years of experience enables us to closely monitor our puppies from birth until they leave our home, so we can match ‘personalities’ to families.

For example, you may be a complete sports fanatic who ultimately wants to take a Ridgeback for runs in the countryside or a family with a young baby – each different family situation requires the correct personality…the runner would be best paired with a more outgoing puppy, whereas the family with the baby would benefit from a quieter puppy.

SOME ADVICE FOR BUYING A PUPPY:

I thought I’d offer a little bit of advice based on the rise in popularity of Social Media;

Please bare in mind that there is a lot of good info online, BUT there is an awful lot of false info too.

Having a scope round some Facebook groups the other day I was horrified at the negativity spread about buying a puppy.

I have always advised potential owners to do their own research and not to rely on threads on Facebook groups, these seem to be very toxic places to spread misinformation, and an ideal place to air a false grievance ( In fact downright lies to harm )

My advice based on breeding Ridgebacks for 35 years is this;

Make up your own mind by speaking to the relevant breeder.

Go to meet the breeder

Meet the dogs

Meet other owners.(if you see a Ridgeback out walking ask for their recommendation)

See Google Reviews;

I would also say make sure any breeder is Licensed with the Local Council (we are) and offers lifetime support; We have a WhatsApp group for each litter, and a private Facebook group for our Zejakers Family.  (I’m now selling puppies to the grown up children of my first owners! Gosh I’m getting old!!)

Go along with an open mind, and ignore the politics!

Every puppy is different, just as every human is unique and we feel it is the most important thing to make sure puppies and owners complement each other.

We operate a waiting list for our puppies. If you are interested in visiting us or finding out more information, please contact us. We provide a ‘whole of life’ support system for our owners and dogs – we are only a phone call away if you need any help or advice. 🙂

Our latest litter details will be on the home page.  We also advertise our Open Days for visiting there.
